Security Expo 2025: what buyers asked about most

Three questions came up repeatedly at a regional security expo: retrofit wiring, app ownership and the total cost of certification.

Retrofit wiring was the dominant topic. Many apartment operators cannot pull new cable, so the two-wire kit drew steady attention. Visitors wanted to know whether the indoor monitor can be powered from the existing doorbell transformer; the answer is yes, provided the transformer delivers 24 V and at least 1.5 A.

The second theme was app ownership. Buyers increasingly want a white-label app rather than a shared consumer app. We support both models, and for white-label projects we hand over the store listing, push certificates and update pipeline.

Finally, certification cost. For each destination market we prepare a test plan before tooling starts, so the samples that go to the lab already match the production configuration. This avoids the common cycle of re-testing after a late component change.
